"I went fishing with my Grandad, he helped me set the rod up. We waited for a while and I caught this big fish, Grandad said it is about 20lb. I was very excited....."

Michael is 8 and has been going fishing with his Grandad for the last four years or so, in this time he has caught large chub, big roach, grass carp, massive perch and recently this fantastic common carp from a water close to Preston...

Michael caught the carp on double red maggot close in the margins, he was only using 4lb line so the fish is a very special capture....

Jamie is Michaels little (er) brother, he also goes fishing, recently he caught this nice Common carp without any help by using fishmeal boilies close in.... The fish was one of two taken from Bannister Farm near Southport, Jamie, like fishing becasue he "likes catchin' um" and is trying to catch up to his brothers big carp shown above!

Michael & Jamie have these tips for people who like fishing....

• Always be quiet
• Stay as still as possible
• Concentrate on what you are doing
• Make sure you fish well and always behave
• Always go with an adult or friend to help you
